Meet Karen
I believe that having a safe and welcoming space can be the starting point to having the confidence to talk about those experiences or relationships that you have found, or are finding, difficult.
My training began over 25 years ago studying for a degree in psychology, with a passion even back then to help and support people. For around 20 years I worked in charity, church and community settings, supporting people who found themselves in need of some extra support, practically and emotionally, and had the privilege of walking alongside people from every age and stage of life. Five years ago, I added to my training with a diploma integrative counselling and now counsel full time in both community and private settings.
My experience includes working with relationship issues, trauma, low mood, anxiety, depression, stress and overwhelm, the affects of abuse, grief, issues of identity, life stages, body image, low self-esteem, self-harm, bullying, family breakdown - amongst others.
